Loktar_Sun SAM Unlock Tutorial: Unlock iPhone 5.1 on Any Baseband

Waiting for software unlock like forever? There’s good news. Loktar_Sun has been able to update SAM unlock in order to make it work with any iPhone on any version of iOS. So, you can now unlock iPhone 4S on 5.1 iOS, iPhone 4 as well as 3GS, irrespective of the baseband version. If you don’t want to indulge into how it actually works, you can simply skip the following paragraph and head straight to step by step guide on Loktar_Sun’s SAM unlick.

When you restore iPhone to any version of iOS, it confirms the carrier unlock status from Apple servers. If you are using a carrier-bound iPhone, you must have the same carrier’s SIM card in the iPhone in order to activate it. To bypass this, you will have to trick the system. SAM tricks the iTunes into issuing the ticket to any SIM that is currently installed in the iPhone. This ticket is then tied to that particular SIM so you can have the unlock for pretty long time, for that particular SIM.
