Use TaiG 2.2 to Jailbreak iOS 8.4 on iPhone 6, iPad Air
Guess what, you can already jailbreak iOS 8.4 on iPhone 6 or any other supported devices. Just download TaiG 2.2 and follow the steps to get your device jailbroken – it’s quick and easy. TaiG v2.x was originally released last week for iOS 8.3 jailbreak but to much delight of the users, the exploit works for iOS 8.4 as well so the team behind TaiG updated their tool to support the latest version of iOS. So all those users who updated their devices to iOS 8.4 – which was released yesterday – can now use TaiG 2.2.0 to jailbreak it install Cydia 1.1.18 on it. The steps to jailbreak are exactly the same to that of iOS 8.3.
Jailbreak iOS 8.4 with TaiG 2.2.0
Step 1: Update your device to iOS 8.4. [Download iOS 8.4 IPSW]
Step 2: Download TaiG 2.2.0: TaiGJBreak_EN_2200.zip – unzip the downloaded file and launch TaiGJBreak_EN_2200.exe.
Step 3: On your device, disable the passcode / Touch ID. To do this:
- Launch Settings on your device
- Tap on Touch ID & Passcode
- Now tap on “Turn Passcode Off”
- Enter your passcode again
Step 4:
Disable “Find My iPhone”. To do this:
- Launch Settings
- Then navigate to iCloud > Find My iPhone
- Disable “Find My iPhone”.
Step 5: Connect your device to the PC – TaiG will detect the connected device.
Step 6: Check the Cydia checkbox; 3K Assistant is optional so you can keep it unchecked. Now click on “Start” button in TaiG.
The process will now begin and your device will be jailbroken. You will be able to track the progress from TaiG progress meter that will display on screen. Once done, your device will reboot. Unlock it and you will notice shiny new Cydia icon on your home screen which will confirm the successful iOS 8.4 jailbreak.
