Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) System Requirements

Microsoft released Release Preview version of Internet E 10 for Windows 7 users earlier today. The browser is already available for Windows 8. However, there is no IE10 for XP or Vista users. You need to be running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or Windows 8 in order to install the latest version of Internet Explorer. If you are running an OS older than Windows 7 you cannot install the update. Same is true for those who have Windows 7 but do not have Service Pack 1 installed on their PCs.

Internet Explorer 10 System Requirements

Here are minimum software and hardware requirements that you must meet in order to be able to install IE10 on your computer:

Supported Operating System:

  • Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit with Service Pack 1 (SP1)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit with Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Processor:

  • 1 GHz (32 bit or 64 bit) processor

RAM:

  • 512 MB

Hard Disk Space:

  • For Win7 32 Bit: 70 MB
  • For Win7 64 Bit: 120 MB
  • For Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit: 200 MB

In addition to that, you will need an internet connection to download Internet Explorer 10 Release Preview and to install it on your computer. During the installation process, it will download and install the required updates, so it is recommended that you be connected to the internet while installing the browser.
