Fix “Apple driver hasn’t been found. Please download and install iTunes.”
Trying to jailbreak using TaiG 2.0 and seeing the error “Apple driver hasn’t been found. Please download and install iTunes.”? Well, you are not alone. A lot of users who have been trying to use the tool to get the jailbreak are seeing the error. What would surprise most users is the fact that they have the latest version of iTunes installed on their PCs but they will still see this error. This can be very frustrating. The problem, however, lies in having the latest version of the iTunes. You need to have an older version – which is weird – to be able to jailbreak using TaiG.
Fix TaiG Error: Apple driver hasn’t been found. Please download and install iTunes.
The reason why you are seeing this error is because the Apple drivers have either not been installed on your PC or you do not have the required version of iTunes. There can be two ways to fix it depending on which one applies to you:
How to check which version of iTunes you are running:
- Open iTunes on PC
- Press “Alt” key to enable the navigation menu
- In navigation menu, click Help and then click “About”
- A window will pop-up that will show the current version of iTunes.
If you do not have iTunes installed
If you do not have iTunes installed on your PC – which is unlikely – you are quite lucky as it’s lot easier to fix the issue for you – just download and install iTunes 12.0.1 on your PC. It will also install all of the required drivers when you connect your iOS device to the PC.
If you have iTunes 12.1 installed
- Download the driver package: iTunesDriver64_0205.exe
- Install the downloaded file.
- Reboot your PC.
Now try jailbreaking again using TaiG 2.0. Need help? Follow the complete step by step guide on how to jailbreak iOS 8.3.
