Undo Retweet: How to Delete Reweeted Tweets on Twitter iPad, iPhone & Web

Ever tried to delete a retweet? You can’t do it. You don’t delete / remove a retweeted tweet, you just “undo retweet”. Makes sense. The tweet was never yours. You retweeted it and it just appeared on your timeline just for that reason. So, how can you delete something that’s not yours in first place? Want it removed from your timeline, just undo retweet and you’re done. It disappears from your TL. Simple as that. It’s simpler than trying to locate drafts on Twitter ;).

Well, lets not get in too much detail here. Below you will find out how to delete retweet from Twitter on iPhone, iPad or the website.

Delete Retweeted Tweet from Twitter on the Web

Step 1: Head to twitter.com and log in to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to the “Me” tab (to your profile).

Here you will find all the tweets tweeted or retweeted by you. The ones that you have retweeted will have a green icon next to it.

Step 3: Mouse over / Click on the retweet that you want to remove / delete.

Step 4: Now click on “Retweeted” (the green text in screenshot above).

That’s it. This will remove retweet from your timeline.

Step 5: Refresh the page. The tweet should not be appearing on your page now.



How to Delete a Retweet on iPad / iPhone (Undo Retweet)

Step 1: Launch the official Twitter iOS app on your device.

Step 2: Navigate to “Me” tab on Twitter app.

Step 3: Locate the retweet that you want to remove and Swipe right or left on it.

Step 4: Tap on the green “Retweet” button.

A confirmation message will appear asking you if you wanted to undo the retweet.

Step 5: Tap on “Undo Retweet” button to remove reweet.
