Ever tried to delete a retweet? You can’t do it. You don’t delete / remove a retweeted tweet, you just “undo retweet”. Makes sense. The tweet was never yours. You retweeted it and it just appeared on your timeline just for that reason. So, how can you delete something that’s not yours in first place? Want it removed from your timeline, just undo retweet and you’re done. It disappears from your TL. Simple as that. It’s simpler than trying to locate drafts on Twitter ;).
Well, lets not get in too much detail here. Below you will find out how to delete retweet from Twitter on iPhone, iPad or the website.
Delete Retweeted Tweet from Twitter on the Web
Step 1: Head to twitter.com and log in to your account.
Step 2: Navigate to the “Me” tab (to your profile).
Here you will find all the tweets tweeted or retweeted by you. The ones that you have retweeted will have a green icon next to it.
Step 3: Mouse over / Click on the retweet that you want to remove / delete.
Step 4: Now click on “Retweeted” (the green text in screenshot above).
That’s it. This will remove retweet from your timeline.
Step 5: Refresh the page. The tweet should not be appearing on your page now.
